UPDATE 11 AM –
There are no major changes with the 11am advice on Tropical Depression Eleven. It is currently more than 2,500 miles east of Florida with winds up to 35 miles per hour, gusts up to 45 and moving west at 14 miles per hour.
Eleven is expected to intensify today at the end of the day in Tropical Storm Josephine, and will continue to intensify through the coming days as it heads west to the Leeward Islands.
It will be able to gain more power due to a lack of wind shear. In the image above, the red colors represent those high shards that work to tear tropical systems apart. Keep in mind, the shear is almost non-existent. That makes it a tropical storm. If it continues to work to the west, it will scurry in more wind, weakening it again. It is also important to note that this storm is expected to turn east, away from the American mainland. If this changes, sign up for NBC2 to let you know!
