Earlier today we reported that Tron 3 was officially in the works, with Lion managing director Garth Davis, It Runs in the Family author Jesse Wigutow, en Suicide Squad star Jared Leto all in tow. Leto, like stars of big Disney franchise blockbusters often, took to Twitter to express his gratitude and excitement about the role. And by that … he would have just leaked the official title of the accident Tron 3. Dear readers, please say the following: Tron: Ares.
If you head to Leto’s Twitter now you will find a nice but generic message about his excitement, and just say, ‘I am so very excited and proud to confirm that YES – I will die in TRON. We will work as hard as we can to create something that I hope you all love. We have some very special ideas for you all in the store … ‘But that’s not what he originally posted. In a tweet that was deleted, Leto did not simply say “TRON.” He said straight up, “TRON: ARES.” And I have to remember that Disney gave him a quick phone call to say, ‘Maybe not say that exactly yet. ”
Even though this could have just been a random slip of a working title by Leto, it is valid for it. THR, back in 2017, stated that Leto had the main character in mind Tron 3. A main character named … Ares. A character not seen in either Tron still Tron: Legacy, and could instead Disney’s hopeful future for the Tron franchise. Since the title seems to focus on its name, it looks like we’ll see a lot of Ares in the future.
