When a small earthquake of 3.8 magnitude hit people in Odisha, memes and jokes took to Twitter.
The weekend began with a shaky start for Odisha residents as a 3.8-magnitude quake was felt in some parts of the coastal state.
A magnitude 3.8 earthquake shook the region of Gajapati at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, an official at the Meteorological Center said Bhubaneswar. The epicenter was reported below 73km West-South-West (WSW) of Berhampur in the state. “The center was near #Paribheta and #Tandiguda locations in Ganjam district, which is located near R Udaygiri area,” the met-office said on its official twitter post.
The center was close by #paribheta en #Tandiguda locations of #Gajapati distrcit, which lies near the territory of R. Udaygiri.

Under his influence, tremors were felt in Patrapur of Ganjam district and Mohana area in Gajapati district. Mild tremor was also felt in R Udaygiri block of Gajapati district. No damage was reported from anywhere in the neighborhood, ‘a senior PTI official said.
As the state is already witnessing heavy rains and thunderstorms, recovering from cyclone Amphan earlier this year, people from Odisha shared memes and jokes on Twitter to highlight how the state has resisted the wrath of nature. Many others took part in the interview, especially those from the NCR region, who have witnessed a series of shocks in recent weeks.
