Travis Scott has released his new song “The Plan”, which will be featured in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming sci-fi thriller Tenet.
The brain-melting job fell early Saturday morning (August 22) after they debuted the previous night during the NBA’s Clippers / Mavericks game on TNT.
“The Plan” marks Scott’s first attempt to write a soundtrack song. Tenet director Nolan told recently GQ that the rapper’s contribution to the hush-hush project was like the last piece of a “year-long puzzle.”
“His insight into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I built were immediate, insightful and deep, “said Nolan.
Asked by GQ to describe Tenet, Scott replied, “I can not even explain it. You literally just have to look at it. It’s very fiery.”
Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki and Kenneth Branagh. Following release dates due to the coronavirus, the mysterious thriller is now slated for release in the US on Sept. 3.
