Tory Lanez arrested for carrying a weapon in a vehicle

Tory Lanez’s weekend of fun with Megan Thee Stallion and Kylie Jenner ended in her arrest.

According to a TMZ report Monday night (July 13), Tory, 27, was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle in Los Angeles early Sunday morning (July 12). The gun that the Canadian rapper, born Daystar Peterson, had was reportedly found in an SUV he was in after police searched the vehicle. XXL has confirmed Tory’s arrest and the weapons charge with the LAPD. The charge is a serious crime.

After the police found the gun in the SUV, Tory was arrested and booked in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. His bond is set at $ 35,000.

The incident leading to the arrest apparently began Sunday morning with a 4:30 am call to the police about a disturbance outside a Hollywood Hills home. When the police officers appeared, witnesses claim that the people were involved in an argument inside an SUV. Then someone shot in the air and the vehicle left the scene.

LAPD reportedly located the SUV after obtaining its description, and found Tory and Megan inside it along with another woman.

Megan Thee Stallion’s foot was apparently cut due to broken glass on the floor of the vehicle. The unidentified woman also in the SUV may have been Kylie Jenner, who was with Tory and Megan earlier that day.

Late on Saturday afternoon (July 11), Tory appeared on Megan Thee Stallion’s Instagram Live while filming herself sitting next to Kylie Jenner in a pool. In the clip, Megan warns Tory not to get her phone wet when he approaches her behind the pool. Moments before that, an unidentified off-camera man informs Megan and Kylie that the music they are playing has to be rejected because “the PD has just arrived.”

XXL Tory Lanez’s team has been contacted for comment.
