Tom Hanks has a message for “py” Americans that they will not wear masks during the coronavirus pandemic: “Shame.”
The former “Joe Versus the Volcano” star exploded out of the woods with his fellow citizens this week during an interview in People magazine to promote his new movie “Greyhound.”
“Don’t hurry, go ahead, do your part,” the actor scolded the nation for an article published Tuesday. “It is very basic. If you drive a car, you don’t go too fast, use the turn signal, and avoid hitting pedestrians. My lord, it is common sense.
Mr. Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive for the contagion and recovered earlier this year.
“There really are only three things we can do to get to tomorrow: wear a mask, social distance, wash our hands,” said the Hollywood celebrity. “Those things are so simple, so easy, if someone can’t find himself practicing those three very basic things, I just think it’s a shame for you.”
Approximately 2.6 million Americans out of a population of 330 million have contracted the virus.
“We had about 10 days of very uncomfortable symptoms,” he said. “It is not life threatening, we are happy to say.”
More than 127,000 deaths in the United States have been attributed to COIVD-19, which originated in Wuhan, China.
