Tom Brady is no longer the Patriots’ newest player to earn a “Madden” rating of 99.
Four players will be part of “Club 99” in the latest installment of the popular soccer video game: Aaron Donald, Christian McCaffrey, Patrick Mahomes and Stephon Gilmore. The honor is certainly well deserved for all four, including Gilmore, who has racked up first-team All-Pro picks in each of the past two seasons, as well as the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award for his efforts in 2019.
Not long after Gilmore learned of his 99 rating with the help of his family, the New England star cornerback took to Instagram and shared a stylish animated photo of himself to celebrate the achievement. Brady, who had a rating of 99 on “Madden 19”, appeared in the comment section of the post.
“Close them, Steph! 💯 ”Brady wrote.
Locking them up will not be an easy task for Gilmore in the upcoming season. The Pro Bowl team on three occasions is slated for showdowns against some of the game’s best scorers, including Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins and Keenan Allen.
