‘Today’ contributor Bobby Thomas details the cause of her husband’s death

Bobby Thomas, a contributor to “Today”, says her husband died last year at the age of seven, leading to “problems with many organs.”

Michael Marian’s death on December 1 was not related to last year’s stroke or COVID-19, Thomas said.

“Michael worked hard to recover from his stroke and made such progress that he plans to return to work,” Thomas said in a statement Monday. “Unlike his stroke 18 months ago, and not related to COVD-19, he landed in the hospital because of problems involving many organ systems.”

In early 2019, Marion, a lawyer, had a stroke at the age of 40. Thomas, 46, speaking about her husband’s recovery this past May, said she initially went for a walk with help after coming home in a wheelchair.

Thomas and Marianne, who were married in 2013, shared a 5-year-old son named Miles.

On Sunday, Thomas wrote an ongoing Instagram post about her husband’s death and her love for Miles, telling her followers to “grab what you have right now” instead of focusing on what you do. One thing we have is compassion. Absorb it, lengthen it, exhaust it. Because in the end, the only important thing is love. ”

He wrote, “As I type through tears, I acknowledge gratitude … holding my precious son Miles and memories close to the broken heart of my time with Michael.”

Monday’s episode of the “Today” show aired an episode about Marion’s life and death, and Thomas’s colleagues, including Hoda Kotab and Savannah Guthrie, were devastated as they sent their condolences to his family.
