We will believe it when we see it
Activision has made a name for itself when it comes to deviantly nudging microtransactions in post-launch games like a mustache that does no good.
After proving that even the adorable ones Crash Bandicoot the series is not safeNitro kart I got them just a few months after it came out) of the micro scrutiny, people were understandably concerned that The Big A would find some way to get microphones; But according to the studio that is working on the game, that is not happening. In a no-intervention demo given to the press last week (attended by Destructoid), Toys for Bob developer Louis Studdert emphatically confirmed that there will be no microtransactions after launch.
Speaking to the press, Studdert explained: “To be absolutely clear, there are no in-app purchases now or after launch.” He clarified that there were some confusing messages in the past (referring to this statement on Twitter), but this is Toys for Bob’s firm stance as of now.
While Activision eventually rules the chicken coop, it would be pretty bad to come back to that deal later after all this clarification and documentation. That never happened, did it?
