One of the players forcing for a role in Tampa’s backfield needed help training Thursday.
TJ Logan was brought back to attack from behind by linebacker Quinton Bell. The injury came a game after offense and defense did some kicking and shoving during an 11-on-11 drill and head coach Bruce Arians said after the session that players need to know the limits when working with their teammates.
“If we’re in the period of not tackling, I do not want to tackle,” said Arians, via Eduardo Encina of the Tampa Bay Times. ‘When we tackle, we tackle. But the last thing you do is grab a sweater. I can see you on film if you will make an approach or not. We’ll see how that goes, how it plays out. But there is one particular practice etiquette you need to follow. Young boys wrestle with it. ”
Logan played for Arians in Arizona and was claimed by exemptions by the Bucs last season. He saw most of his work as a kickoff and point returner and should be in the mix again for those roles this year if the injury is not serious.
