Tipster 100% safe Google Pixel 4a will launch on August 3

Last years Google Pixel 3a was the silver lining in the company’s scourge smartphone business and so far, we have not seen a tracking device. the Apparently the Pixel 4a was supposed to arrive May but was hit with multiple delays. Tipster John Prosser, who has a mixed record, previously said the phone would launch on August 3 and has now reiterated that claim.

Pixel 4a’s alleged release date seems entirely likely

In late June reportedly the Pixel 4a paid a visit to the FCC and before that some European retailers had He listed the phone. So a Pixel 4a August 3 release seems totally plausible.

Google also recently It discontinued the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, which is further proof that a successor is coming.

Prosser says he is 100% sure of the tip, but as he points out, the real question is not when the Pixel 4a will launch the longest. Rather, it is now more about consumer interest.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 silicon, which will likely power the phone, is a bit too old for a mid-tier phone at a time when there are rival devices around with the Snapdragon 765G under the hood, such as the OnePlus Nord and LG Velvet.

According to Benchmark results that appeared recently, performance might not necessarily be an issue for the Pixel 4a. In fact, it is expected to be close 70 percent as powerful as the Pixel 4. Of course, it won’t be comparable to this year’s high-end phones and even the flagship-powered iPhone SE, but for a mid-range phone, it should suffice. But then again, it’s not just about performance, as both Nord and Velvet are capable of 5G, thanks to their chipset.

This same chip will reportedly power the 5G version of Pixel 4a and Pixel 5. Apparently these two will be announced in October.

Going back to the Pixel 4a for LTE only, it’s likely to flaunt a 5.81-inch screen. In the camera department, we’re supposedly looking at a 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, and the phone is supposed to inherit the Pixel 4’s video recording specs.

The old Snapdragon 730 is supposed to be paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. A 3,080 mAh battery is expected to keep the show on and the phone will likely be available only in Just Black. Apparently it will stick with a physical fingerprint reader and the 3.5mm headphone port will also stay.

Those are obviously not groundbreaking specs, but Pixel phones are known to go beyond hardware capabilities with software-side optimizations, so don’t rule out the Pixel 4a just yet.

Another thing that could work in favor of the phone is the alleged price of $ 349, which would make it more affordable than the iPhone SE and OnePlus Nord.
