Shortly after Kanye West announced his presidential career, comedian Tiffany Haddish teased the rapper and joked about throwing his hat in the ring. And to make her offer even more attractive, Haddish put Dave Chappelle on the ticket as her running mate.
Kanye West running for president
On July 4, Kanye West stunned from the United States when he announced his aspirations for the Oval Office. The rapper turned to Twitter to make the announcement.
“Now we must deliver on America’s promise by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future,” he wrote on Twitter. “I am running for President of the United States! # 2020VISION “.
His wife, Kim Kardashian West, retweeted her ad with an American flag emoji, suggesting that she fully supports this effort. And Tesla CEO Elon Musk also chimed in with an endorsement, tweeting, “You have my full support!”
This is not the first time that the Grammy-winning artist has expressed his desire to run for office. He first announced his 2020 campaign plans on stage at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
Tiffany Haddish teases Kanye West by announcing her own career
News of West’s presidential race began to trend immediately. Some fans enjoy the idea, while others fear that his campaign will only harm Democrats’ chances of winning. But only people were trying to understand the idea of a Kanye West presidency, TIffany Haddish stepped in to roast the rapper and announce his own offer.
“Now we must deliver on America’s promise by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” Haddish tweeted, imitating West’s words. “I am also running for President of the United States! # 2020VISION “.
But just as fans started reacting to his hilarious tweet, Haddish added the icing on the cake by introducing Dave Chappelle as his Vice President.
“Well this only on Dave Chappelle will be my running mate,” he wrote in another tweet. “Then # HaddishChappelle2020”.
How do Tiffany Haddish and Dave Chappelle feel about Kanye West?
West has been known for making controversial comments about the breed in the past. And in 2018, when he visited Donald Trump at the White House wearing a MAGA hat, fans were unhappy. At the time, when asked about West’s meeting with Trump, Haddish said he couldn’t believe it was real.
“I thought it was a really messy TV show,” he told Extra TV. “I thought, ‘What a show this is, this can’t be real, I hope this is written.'”
In an appearance in The Van Jones Show On CNN, Chappelle was also asked about West’s controversial comments about the breed. He said that while he appreciates West’s immense talent, he definitely disagrees with everything the rapper says.
“Kanye is an artist and he is a genius,” Chappelle explained. “I’m not mad at Kanye West, that’s my brother. I love him, I support him, I buy his records. I don’t have to agree with everything he says, I just trust him as a person of intention. “
