With the COVID-19 pandemic yet to come, the Cleveland Browns players and staff appear to be doing well, with no positive evidence so far. Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he is “comfortable being uncomfortable” during this situation.
Without positive evidence, the danger certainly remains there. Stefanski said his advice to his players is “the priority is your safety and your family.” Going further, if any player contracted the disease, it could easily be transmitted to anyone close to him. This is the bad part of the coronavirus, it spreads easily and like a forest fire.
With all the protocols that had to be followed, the Browns players and staff had to go into a “virtual offseason.” Stefanski says he has been “impressed” with how the team has adapted to these unfortunate circumstances. The team is making the most of the situation, as they should. His best friend has been the Zoom app, where multiple players and coaches can tune into a single video call.
Cleveland had to make a plan because of the circumstances and if things change, the Browns will be ready, “throughout the offseason, we’ve had a plan and we’re ready to swing.” If the pandemic ends up derailing this season or changing the way things are approached, again, the team will be ready to switch to anything.
Apparently, the Browns remain in the middle throughout this terrible experience. Don’t be overly optimistic about things not change. Also, playing with the cards that have been dealt for the moment. The team in Northeast Ohio is doing the best of things today.
