July 23 is the big day and the New York Yankees are eager to get back to playing real baseball. With less than a week left, the Bleacher Creatures podcast might not be ready for all of this to begin. With all the uncertainty, cautious optimism is the way to go.
First, the discussion begins with the Yankees’ favorite wife Amy Cole. Newborn from giving birth to a beautiful baby, Amy Cole is back in pre-baby shape and beyond beyond belief. In fact, the entire Yankees support system is incredible. Wives and girlfriends are more than that … they are activists and former athletes and, above all, smart baseball fans who could probably do the same thing as their husbands.
But Amy Cole looks fabulous and that should not be forgotten.
Beyond the talk of the ladies (which in all honesty deserves much more in this podcast), we also delve into the subject of Aaron Judge and his constant injuries.
After his most recent departure from the lineups due to a stiff neck, concerns mounted against Aaron Judge and his reputation for failing to stay healthy. But with his triumphant return to the lineup, culminating in a monstrous James Paxton home run, those concerns should be brought to bed.
At first, the idea of him sitting stiff-necked seemed too amateurish for a professional athlete. Now it seems like a fluke and Aaron Judge is absolutely ready and really looking forward to leaving.
On the other side of things, how about those young pitchers? Allison and James discuss in detail how these young studs have had an impact in summer camp and how they could potentially have an impact during this regular season.
Of course, the concern about the Coronavirus is great, but with some perfectly timed news, the Bleacher Creatures podcast had to give some news about the resident robot DJ LeMahieu and his state of health.
