Lenovo Thinkbook 15 General 2 i (Note I) looks relatively impressive from the outside but this new laptop has pioneered a new way of using multimedia-content on the move.
One of the most exclusive features we’ve seen for a while, the device offers branded integrated wireless earbuds that can be stored in a laptop, which Lenovo calls a completely new audio experience.
These ThinkBook earbuds will automatically charge when stored in a dedicated drawer (where they are charged) and connect to a laptop audio Dio system immediately (via Bluetooth) when they are taken out. All you need to do is double tap on the earbuds to mute and remove the noise manually during calls.
Perched on your buds
This oral peripheral device is also equipped with dual microphones and environmental noise cancellation, “making online meetings more effective than ever before”, says Lenovo.
If that wasn’t clear enough, this commercial laptop targets WFHomers, small and medium enterprises as well as ROBOs (Remote Office Fees / Branch Office) environments.
There is also a dedicated button for quick access to Lenovo support; Pressing it will automatically send device details like the serial number of the laptop. Unfortunately, there is no Zero Touch Login Gin, a security feature that locates and unlocks your device based on your face and physical appearance.
Confusingly, there are Thinkbook 15 General 2 I, Thinkbook 15 General 2 AMD, Thinkbook 15 P i; Only the first, which has an Intel 11th generation processor, will come with earbuds. It is expected to go on sale in October 2020, starting at $ 569. Note that the ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 I will also get these groovy earbuds.
