This is what the Galaxy Note 20 series and Galaxy Fold 2 5G could cost

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series was ridiculously expensive at launch, and multiple reports revealed that customers were far from impressed. However, despite the negative reactions, a leak suggests that the South Korean company plans to go even further with its next set of flagships.

The Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are much more expensive

Popular Greek website Tech Maniac It has obtained information from a “very reliable source” regarding the launch date and price of the next generation Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. These smartphones are reportedly making their international debut on Wednesday August 5 at the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event. Preorders are likely to start shortly after shipments are anticipated on Thursday, August 27.

The source in question believes that the standard Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will sell for € 1,249 in Greece. That’s significantly higher than the Galaxy Note 10, which was priced at € 999 domestically when it launched last year.

Although not yet confirmed, prices in the rest of Europe should be lower thanks to different tax rates. Most customers in the region should be able to buy the Galaxy Note 20 for € 1,199 or € 1,209.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, on the other hand, could cost a whopping € 1,499 in Greece. That’s higher than the Galaxy Note 10+, which sold for € 1,149, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which launched at € 1,399 domestically.

Like the Galaxy Note 20, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra should be cheaper in other European markets. If these Greek prices are correct, the smartphone is likely to sell for € 1,449 and € 1,459 in most countries.

Galaxy Fold 2 is also more expensive

Tech Maniac I also received information on the highly anticipated Galaxy Fold 2. The latter is expected to be introduced alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series, but won’t hit stores until the end of September or October due to delays in COVID-19.

In Greece, the ultra-premium device will apparently sell for € 2,199. If correct, that means the 5G Galaxy Fold 2 will be more expensive than the 4G Galaxy Fold but cheaper than the 5G Galaxy Fold.

What about prices in the United States?

If there are past price differences, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 might be available to buy for $ 1,199 in the United States at launch in the standard configuration. Speaking of which, the base model is rumored to offer 128GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, on the other hand, will likely retail for $ 1,449 in the US However, as usual, shoppers who choose to preorder the flagship should receive some sort of gift.

It remains to be seen what kind of promotion Samsung has planned this year, but it could involve the upcoming Galaxy Buds Live or the Galaxy Watch 3. These two products are likely to be unveiled in the coming weeks before the Unpacked event.

It is a little more difficult to estimate the price of the Galaxy Fold 2 in the United States, but the leaked information today suggests that it could cost around $ 2,000. Previous reports suggested that Samsung hoped to cut prices, but that may not be the case.
