This is what a Ford Maverick based on Bronco sport might look like

We have seen many leaks and reports to know that Ford is preparing a new compact truck model, and we are also pretty sure it will be called Maverick.

However, its exact size or design remains unknown, although the general consensus is that it will be located below the Ranger. If true, it might be a little difficult to base it on the recently unveiled Bronco Sport, let alone the all-new Bronco.

Still, BrazilAutomotive tested it using the Bronco Sport as a base, extending the wheelbase, designing a truck bed, and even adding a faithful version of that recently leaked Maverick hatchback.

To be clear, the actual Maverick should have nothing to do with the rumored Bronco truck that will be a rival to the Jeep Gladiator.

So what do you think? Does this design work as a compact size truck for the Americas? What it does have is youthful design. The render is modern, but not overly imposing, which is what we’ve been hearing in those reports as well, some of which suggest the pickup will be mounted on the same platform that supports the Focus.

Ford is expected to launch this new compact truck in late 2021, and production begins in Hermosillo, Mexico. The price for the entry-level truck for the Blue Oval is expected to start from just under $ 20,000.
