There have been 3,346 new virus cases reported in Texas but a total increase of 7,006

ST Stein, Texas Health officials in Texas on Saturday reported 34,34 and6 cases of the newly-reported coronavirus and 60,060 previous cases, out of a total of 7,00006 cases not reported.

The Texas Department of Health has reported a total of 763,010 cases and 15,992 deaths from the virus, Covid-19. The department reported 756,004 cases and 15,895 deaths on Friday.

The health department said in a note on its COVID-19 dashboard on Saturday that 3,660 old cases have been excluded from previous reports of newly confirmed cases. The true number of cases in Texas is likely higher although many have not been investigated and studies suggest that people may become infected and not feel ill.

For most people, coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as a fever and cough that become apparent in two to three weeks. For some, especially the elderly and those with existing health problems, it can lead to more serious illnesses, including pneumonia and death.
