MicroS .ft’s Xbox Series X arrived in November, and reviewers and consumers alike are busy putting new consoles at its pace. One feature that has not been announced concerns Series X’s new controller, which has the ability to quickly switch between two devices hidden (and supportive).
This help comes courtesy of Microsoft Microsoft ft staff teams Wolf, Who dropped the drop in a tweet on Monday morning. Wolf notes that this is a feature that can be very helpful for Xbox Game Pass subscribers who play games on mobile, Windows PCs and Xbox.
The new Xbox wireless controller has a sync button on the front, just like the old one. You can still use it to pair a new controller with an existing console by holding it for a long press. If you want to pair the controller with a Windows 10 PC or Android device, that’s fine. You can also use a short press of the sync button to quickly switch the controller to the previous connected device.

Just hold down the sync button, wait for the light to flash twice on the controller and double tap the sync button to switch to the next device.
The feature only works with Xbox-owned wireless connections and Bluetooth devices. If you use the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 you won’t be able to take advantage of it. IOS devices are also excluded – at least for now.
