The Xbox One X Series S design, along with the next-gen Xbox pricing, appears to have been leaked.

On Sunday evening, Floodgate opened about Micros.ft’s plans to launch the next-gen console. Multiple reports, with a telling video snippet, put an exclamation point on the company’s leaked aspirations to launch the “Xbox Series X” console (announced late 2019) next to the cheaper, smaller “Xbox Series S” model by the end of the year.

And while some details may change – specifically reports of 299 reports for the XBX Series S and $ 499 for the Xbox Series X – we think this leaked design is accurate for the smaller, next-gen Xbox.

Longtime micro .ft-tracking reporter Brad Sons will make a splash on Sunday’s news, with a screenshot showing a clear Xbox Series S design, colored white and about half the size of an Xbox Series X: $ 299. Not explained, but next to the Series X (codename Scarlett), under the Lockhart code name when it was in development he repeatedly reported the existence of the Series S.

S marks the place

If previous reports come out, the Series S will enter with many of the technological leaps found in the Series X found and may include features like “Velocity Architecture” for fancy graphical effects such as fast game loading or ray tracing. But the Series S will offer that “next-gen” devotion at lower maximum power, for lower pixel resolution (such as 1080p) or lower frame rates to reduce the cost of the console. Sams and other reporters have estimated the rendering level for the Series S to be around 4 teraflops, while comparing the Series X’s 12 TF power and 4K resolution aspirations.

In August Gust, Ars Technica was able to confirm the name of the cheap console, thanks to sources familiar with the plans of MicroSt.

Shortly after Sams’ report came alive, Windows Central reported a similar price point for the Series S, as well as claims that the Xbox Series X would launch at 499. The WC report, citing “sources”, claimed that both consoles would launch on November 10, but the report did not specify in which area the launch would cover. (Microsoft Microsoft has previously confirmed a “November” console launch for the Series X.)

The combination of date and price could change very well ahead of whatever Microsoft announces, while the Series S design seems to be confirmed by both reports citing the same design – forward Leaked snippet of Series S’s announced video, shared by Twitter user “_h0x0d_”“This four-second video includes a slim animation of the two new consoles placed side by side, then sliding into a transparent version of the Series X chassis to emphasize the comparison of the Series S size. At the time, one narrator describes” how small it is. “

What the narrator doesn’t say in this short clip is that the Series S seems to be missing the disk drive on its front face or other visible sides. It’s unclear whether a disk drive might exist on the other side, but it would be a huge design departure for the Xbox, which has been placing disk-drive slots just like its console power buttons for years. Therefore, it seems likely to put more emphasis on digital-download subscription packages such as quitting disk drive and Xbox Game Pass – as a way to get the price down to $ 299 get.

Instead, the video shows the top array of holes that look like the dot pattern seen on the edge of the Xbox One X, with a dotted, -l-black rounded panel on one side of it, possibly enabling more venting. Aside from the big circle-vent thing, the design similarity of consoles like the Xbox One X isn’t exactly surprising, with Microsoft listing all the Xbox One X consoles earlier this year – which led us to speculate that the Xbox Series S would take its place. Xbox Hierarchy.

Windows Central’s report includes a suggestion that the Series S will launch with a વિકલ્પ 25 / month “Xbox All Access Access” financial option, while the Series X will be available for $ 35 / month. The exact terms of such an agreement, and whether it may include features such as Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass, have not been confirmed.

Representatives of Xbox and Micro .ft did not respond to questions about explicit leaks of Xbox X Next-General plans. [Update, 2:14 a.m. ET: Shortly after our story went live, the official Xbox Twitter account posted the “monkey puppet” meme with no other commentary attached, as if to express shock or exasperation about a certain story making the rounds.]
