The woman who stole the goods for 19 years and sold them on eBay has been sentenced to jail and ordered to pay 8 3.8M.


Kim Richardson, 63, has agreed to pay rest .8 8 million in damages following an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Secret Service, U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick announced in a news release Thursday.

The Dallas resident said his U.S. Bought during the tour and then traveled to the U.S. Items by Mail, Federal Express and United Parcel Service were sold by the merchant on eBay and via direct internet sales before mailing.

“Richardson steals items from numerous retail stores. He used shoplifting tools to deactivate security devices and the stolen merchant will walk out of the store in a large black bag he carried,” the news release said.

“Helped Richardson sell items on the Internet, as well as packaging and mailing stolen items.”

CNN could not determine if Richardson had a lawyer. She has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Buyers who bought the stolen goods sent about 3. 8.3 million to four PayPal accounts linked to Richardson.

During his sentencing, the court said it would be “virtually impossible” to identify everyone who was the victim of Richardson’s plan, according to the release.

Richardson was convicted in December 2019. He was allowed to stay on bond, the release said, and voluntarily surrendered to the U.S. The bureau will be handed over to Prf prison facility, which will be determined “in the near future.”
