Fortnite has run a number of Marvel-centric events, including Avengers, Deadpool and Wolverine Challenges, but things have been getting a bit more intense in its latest event – and the stake is growing. Fortnight: The Nexus War will end on December 1, and it’s up to the players to take the risk of defeating the galaxy or destroying the universe itself.
The fight against Galcutas continues 1 Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. PT / 4 p.m. ET, And it’s the only time event. Epic Games recommends that you go to Fortnight about an hour before the scheduled start time and a playlist will appear 30 minutes before the event. You’ll need to update to 14.60 to play, and since a court case is underway between Apple Pal and Epic Games, iOS players have yet to be entertained. It is possible that iOS is working its way through the Safari web browser, which some other companies are also doing instead of supporting dedicated apps. Any hope of getting back into the game on a native app on iOS will have to wait until the courts sue, and Epic Games should win against Apple.
A few days ago, Fortnight also brought video chat into the game through the Houseparty app. It is available for PC, PS5 and PS4 versions of the game and you need to have an iOS or Android phone installed with the app. If you link to your accounts, you’ll also get a special Rainbow Fog wrap.
