Will Jaire Alexander shine this year?

How much impact do agents have on players? Does the agent tell newbies to study the playbook religiously? Does the agent encourage the player to exercise in the off season? Does the agent tell the player to work hard?

If a player has to hear any of those things from his agent, he doesn’t have much chance.

Regarding a set of two TEs and three RBs for a two point conversion, I am intrigued, but if I am a coach there is no way I am taking our best offensive threat off the field so I can execute an interesting formation. Taking Davante Adams out on the goal line is like when ATL kicks Julio Jones off the goal line. It never makes sense to me. He is your best player. At least make the defense emphasize holding you accountable. Is there something schematically missing from me?

There is a possibility of being too cute, and you were not the only reader with this reaction.

With all the presentations of the crash impacting the Packers, it made me think of the biggest crash in NFL history. It has to be Jackie Smith’s downfall in Super Bowl XIII, right?

In my life, I can’t think of another that ranks higher.

Regarding the biggest offensive drops, I think Antonio Freeman’s fall in the Super Bowl loss to Denver with less than a minute for the Packers on Denver territory was huge. If he catches him, the Packers have four losses in the red zone to tie the Super Bowl and send him into overtime.

I went back and looked at it, and that’s hard for me to call it a drop. Freeman was between two defenders, and Darrien Gordon put a hand in there, it seemed, so it wasn’t an opportunity for a clean catch in my opinion.

Can Green Bay’s economy survive a year without football? Other cities would fail and certainly suffer financial hardship if the season were to be lost, but I can’t imagine how difficult a canceled season would be for the city of Green Bay.

A season without fans, or with less than a full Lambeau and no people capable of packing sports bars, etc., would be a major economic blow to the area. There are some hotels and restaurants that are heavily dependent on the regular season’s eight home games and all the traffic and business they generate. I feel sorry for those business owners and employees, who have already suffered since March.

If you could recruit ANY player all the time to play in today’s game, who would it be?
