Although the Surface is somewhat older specs, things seemed to be going well for the Surface Duo, which raises questions about the value of the dual-screen foldable until reviews and reports start coming in. Surprisingly, Microsoft seems to have decided to reduce the price by a significant amount just two months after the product was launched. More than a reduction in the initial price, however, early believers in the promise of microsoft .ft are now complaining about what seems to be a messy and inconsistent policy on how to handle returns and refunds.
It’s so bad for these early adopters that Microsoft has so much confirmed that the Surface Duo is worth a lot more than it asked last September. The dual-screen phone sells for જી 1,399 and 5 1,599 for 128GB and 256GB storage, respectively, but now retail prices are 200 200 less. If you buy from Best Buy and activate on AT&T, Sprint or Verizon, you can withdraw another $ 100 from that price.
What is really worrying the surface duo owners is handling the micro .ft situation. Simply put, it will not refund your 200D to match the new prices. Instead, they are told to return the device, which is still within the 60-day return window, and use the refund to buy a new one at a lower price. The microsoft .ft, however, will not disclose the charge for the new surface duo until the old surface is received.
While this means that users will get a shiny new device, the process will not only be in trouble but will also have a negative impact on the environment due to potential e-waste. To add insult to injury, this policy is being applied inconsistently depending on which store or consumer representative you ask.
After reviews criticized some volatile parts of the software and when users reported durability issues with the phone’s hardware and design, Surface Duo’s reputation has been tarnished. This is definitely not doing the device any favors but it could also be Microsoft’s strategy to take back the problematic batch that may be and quietly replace it with the better.
