Sylvester Stallone joins second suicide squad, according to an Instagram post by writer-director James Gunn
Not every original returns from a 2016 film. Margot Robbie and Jay Kurt are back as Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang, as are Viola Davis (Amanda Veller) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag). Gun will include some new supervillains with big names attached. Nathan Filian (TDK), Idris Alba (Bloodsport) and John Cena (Peacemaker) are well known, now Stallone will also join them. There is some speculation that it will be the sound of a king shark.
Stallone himself confirmed his participation by posting a video on Instagram that he accepts that he is going to film a scene.

In a tweet featuring a new cast pick on the cover of Empire Magazine, Gunn asked, “What do you think of the two characters who probably live # # SuicideSquad?”
Gunn responded to a fan’s guess. No character was protected by DC. They gave me Carte Blanche to do what I wanted. We agreed on one of those things before I came to work for them.
