Authorities are investigating a suspicious death after a student’s body was found on a college ledge campus in western Michigan.
According to reports, the student attended Grand Valley State University in Allende.
A student who was going for a jog on Saturday morning found a corpse near the athletic fields used for intramural sports.
Grand Valley University Police Capt. Jeffrey Stoll Le told the student newspaper Grand Valley Lantern that the death was initially considered “suspicious.”
“This is a traumatic and traumatic event for all of us,” said Grand Valley President Philomina Matella, according to Wood-TV.
“This tragedy is a reminder of the importance of every member of our university community.” “Please keep the student’s family in your thoughts and give your support to those who have lost a friend and fellow student.”
Police found the body and taped the area around the parked vehicle, the station said.
