The store suspends a woman who sprayed pepper on a man in a mask confrontation

The incident took place at one of the chain's Los Angeles locations nearly two weeks ago. A witness called Point He described it to KCAL:

Witnesses said a store employee told the man that he had to cover his face or leave the store as required by Los Angeles County. It was then that he started ramming the woman with a shopping cart, and a worker used pepper spray to incapacitate the man and called the police.

"I was reaching the end of a hallway and suddenly I heard some commotion and people were entering the hallway," said one witness. "I looked down and there was a guy yelling at someone, and suddenly you see him, you know, grab the handles of his car and try to ram this woman."

The witness said the man continued to yell at the woman as he pushed his cart inside her. He also said that he saw another woman try to push the man out of the way.

"I think I was just screaming about the mask," he said. "I didn't want to wear a mask."
