Do you have complete micro-consoles based on classic gaming systems? Well, then you might want to step up to the SNK Neo Geo MVSX Home Arcade, a tabletop system that will launch this November for $ 449.99 (or $ 500 with a special base, which we’ll get to shortly).
Developed by the Gstone Group in close collaboration with SNK, the machine measures W15 x D17 x H25 inches and is billed as the “ultimate home arcade for fans of classic SNK titles” and will feature 50 built-in AES and MVS games, including The King of Fighters, Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Art of Fighting and sports titles included Baseball Stars Professional en Top player’s golf.
Both MVS and AES versions of each game will be included, and a CRT scanline filter is also provided so you can get the authentic look.
The unit has a 17-inch 4: 3 LCD screen with a resolution of 1280×1024 pixels and has two-player support with analog joysticks and buttons. A special 32-inch high base will also be included that turns the table arcade into a 5-foot arcade cabinet. You can buy the unit without the base for $ 450 if you want.
This is not the first time that SNK’s classic Neo Geo system has received a new life loan. The Neo Geo X was a handheld console connected to the TV and was eventually shocked due to a disagreement between its manufacturer and SNK itself. SNK later released the Neo Geo Mini, and last year produced the Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro, all featuring classic Neo Geo titles.
Prejudices open in September 2020.
