The success of ‘Waiting to Excel’ was so great that it inspired a follow-up book and a sequel.

Fox bought the rights to the movie To be happy And all four actors from the original film signed on to star in the film. Unfortunately, the film was halted by Whitney Houston’s 2012 death.
