The search for the tiger continues in Knoxville, Tennessee Industrial Park

According to a news release, the deputy of Knox County Sheriff’s Office Fees spotted the animal on the forks of the Industrial Industrial Park on the river east of the city.

According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), another sighting took place a few miles away on Thursday morning.

A wildlife officer is patrolling the area, but no sightings or signs have been found in front of the animal, TWRA spokesman Matt Kemer told CNN.

The TWRA set a trap to try to catch the hair, but removed it around noon on Thursday because there was no activity, Kemer said.

The agency is asking residents of the area to check footage from their security cameras to see if they get a glimpse of the big cat, the spokesman said.

The tiger was discovered by the sheriff’s patrol units and airwatch, along with animal control from the Knoxville Police Department, the sheriff’s office fee said.

Representatives from the Tiger Haven Tiger Sanctuary in Kingston, Tennessee are helping with the search, the sheriff’s office fee said. Tiger Haven is about 50 miles southwest where the tiger was spotted.
CNN-affiliated WVLT reports that Knoxville police dispatched calls from several people who thought they had seen the hair, and the crew responded to a call Thursday morning.

It is not known where the hair came from.

Zoo Knoxville said in a Facebook post Thursday morning that it is not one of its big cats.

“We all have to make sure that our Zoo Knoxville Malayan tigers Arya, Bashir and Tanvir are all safely responsible. Our team is also standing by to help if needed,” Zoo wrote.

The sheriff’s office urges residents to contact them if they see hair.
