The school’s teacher says he lost his kindergarten job with tattoos: report

A tattoo-covered kindergarten teacher in France, who has spent about 500 hours under a needle, has been banned from teaching children under the age of six after parents complained they gave their child nightmares.

According to Reuters, Sylvan Helen, now 35, began covering her entire body in tattoos after going through a “survival crisis” at the age of 27 while working at a private school in London. He has not only covered his entire face and tongue with ink, but he has also surgically changed the whites of his eyes to look black.

However, last year, while Dr. Morere was teaching kindergarten at an elementary school in the Paris suburb of Palais, the parents of a three-year-old student complained to authorities, the outlet report said. Although their son was not taught by Helen, they claimed that she had nightmares after seeing her son.

Helen was then told that she would no longer teach kindergarten. A spokesman noted that students under the age of six could “be intimidated by her appearance,” according to Reuters.

Helen was disappointed by the authorities’ move.

“I think the decision they made was very sad,” he said.

However, Helen is still able to teach children 6 years and older.

Still, getting a tattoo is his “passion,” he said, adding that he wants to stick to his career as an elementary school teacher.

“I like my job.”

Eventually, after the initial shock, he says his students are able to see his outward appearance.

“All my students and their parents always stayed cold with me because basically they knew me.”

She hopes to use this experience as a lesson for her students to accept different people.

“Maybe they will be less racist and less homophobic and more open-minded when they are adults.”
