The often-rumored and heavily leaked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G will finally go official during the company’s online Unpacked event on August 5. While we wait for that, here are a bunch of renders fresh out of the oven. showing it in all its splendor in two colors: Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black.
As rumored countless times before, the internal display now has a piercing selfie camera, and therefore no more large and awkward side notch. The exterior display has also been greatly improved, now stretches to the edges and doesn’t come with ridiculously large top and bottom bezels like the original Fold. This one also has a piercing selfie camera.
The design of the rear camera island is largely based on what we’ve seen in leaked versions of the Galaxy Note20, which should also be announced at the same event. The Mystic Bronze colorway is also shared.
According to the specifications leaked above, the external screen will be 6.23 “, while the internal one grew to 7.7”, both Super AMOLED, of course. The internal display will also have a refresh rate of 120Hz. The triple camera setup on the back should comprise 12MP + 64MP + 12MP sensors, while the internal selfie camera is 10MP. The storage capacity will be 512 GB, and the 5G support is integrated. The total battery capacity is 4,356 mAh, and it will support 15W wireless charging.
Price rumors have been all over the place, some say the Z Fold 2 5G would be cheaper than its predecessor, and others settle for $ 1,980, which is pretty much in line with the first-gen product. We’ll find out for sure in a few days, so stay tuned.
