With or without James Harden – the Houston Rockets are on track to rebuild.
Late Monday night, the Rockets were finalizing a deal to send Robert Cuewington to the Blazers for p-guard Trevor Ariza, who, according to multiple reports, was selected in the first round in Wednesday night’s draft and secured a first-round pick in 2021.
Shortly after the deal was struck, Hurden made it clear he wanted to bolt Houston for the Nets, possibly with the Thunder’s former teammates Kevin Durant and Kerry Irving to form the NBA’s next super team.
Harden, a 1-year-old former MVP from Arden, turned down Houston’s offer to make him the NBA’s first-year 50 million star – adding 10 103 million to his two-year, three-year extension and વર્તમાન 133 million to his current deal with ESPN.
He is the second Rockets star to come out following Russell Westbrook, as many players have recently questioned the team’s culture.
The Rockets have been one of the league’s strongest regular season teams in the last five seasons but have failed to win NBA titles during that time.
In another big move Monday night, the Milwaukee Bucks struck a deal to get Jury Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for three Eric Bladeso and George Hill from the New Orleans Pelicans. ESPN Accordingly, Bucks landed Kings Forward Bogdan Bogdanovich for sign and trade.
