The Raiders agree to the terms of No. 12 Henry Ruggs

The Raiders have struck a deal with their first pick of 2020.

Las Vegas has agreed to strike a deal with catcher Henry Ruggs III, NFL network informant Ian Rapoport reported. The agreed deal is worth $ 16.67 million over four years, Rapoport added.

Ruggs skipped the draft board thanks to a pre-draft process that showed off his hyper-athleticism through excellent NFL Scouting Combine training and the circulation of his most prominent Alabama treadmill and his high school basketball days. The Las Vegas pick of the speed demon as the first off-board catcher at No. 12 was Old Raiders, opting for a player with a fantastic athletic ceiling when he needs a home run threat.

Raiders general manager Mike Mayock made it clear in February that his team needed receivers, and took it upon himself to tackle the position by recruiting Ruggs, spotting catcher Bryan Edwards (a South Carolina third-round pick) and to Kentucky game creator Lynn Bowden Jr.

It remains to be seen how Ruggs performs. The receiver sustained a thigh injury while moving that forced him to use crutches to move in early June, but it was not a serious injury. You should be ready to go to the beginning of the camp.
