Given the differences in approaches with their next-generation consoles, the so-called ‘console war’ between Sony and MicroSt. However, most console gamers will need to choose between PS5 and Xbox Series X.
And it looks like the PS5 is coming to the top. That’s because Sarkhev gave data collected by B and TNW that there was a clear difference between the number of people visiting PlayStation.com and Xbox.com when the console’s pre-orders came alive.
According to the data, when the PS5 pre-order went live on September 16, something chaotic reached 892,000 visitors to Sony’s console website. In comparison, visitors to the Xbox site peaked at 776,200 when they pre-ordered the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S live on September 22nd.
Pre-orders for all three consoles have sold out quickly, and finding a retailer is still a challenge with little availability.
But it seems that Sony’s number is on the number of people after the pay-generation console they have. As is likely to happen here, the rift between the PS5 and the Xbox Series X may have gone for Sony’s machine as it was the first to set its pre-order live.
The PS5 also has a digital edition – which provides all the power of a standard PS5 but removes its disk drive – which reduces the price of the 9,499 Xbox Series X with a price tag of 9,399. So because of the digital edition people will be tempted to go for PS5.
That being said, Sony sold more PS4 consoles than it did with the Micro .ft Xbox One. So effectively, Sony has a large core of PlayStation players to carry with it to the next console generation. Arguably, it’s no surprise that the PS5 is attracting more attention than its Xbox rival.
Still, it’s interesting to see that the Xbox Series X gets a lot of attention, even though the brand is arguably smaller than the PlayStation. There is no doubt that MicroSt’s approach to giving the Xbox Series X the most power – 12 teraflops compared to the PS5’s 10.28 teraflops – has helped attract console fans. And since the cheap 9299 Xbox Series S can’t hurt either, the machine offers alternative options for people who don’t want to sink around $ 500 on a gaming gadget.
With the Xbox console due to launch on November 10 and November 12 in the US, we’ll soon see what comes to the top. But it turns out that both console brands could be on the winner.
