New mom looks sure to fit in with the Bella Twins! Brie and Nikki Bella gave birth to their baby boys two weeks ago, and the sisters have been slowly sharing their lives as second mothers and first mothers, respectively, ever since. And while Nikki has been the focal twin on Twitter, her younger-at-16-minute-sister is the one who graced us with photos on Instagram – and we absolutely love her latest. Brie Bella shared a postpartum photo that is so different from the ones we often see: A sweet, makeup-free selfie with her twin showing both new moms bare faces and serious smiles.
“Nothing makes postpartum more fun than with your sister 🤱🏻🤱🏻” she captioned the post, tagged Nikki and used the hashtag “#twoweekspostpartum.”
See, being a new mom is capital H Hurd, that’s why we like to see postpartum photos of all kinds – the good, and, and the ugly (and let’s be honest: the so-called ‘ugly’ is perhaps the most real and relatable). And while we would never criticize a mom for posting a “snap-back” photo that she’s proud of, we really do think that the Bella Twins’ postpartum selfie is not focused on their bodies, but on each other. Their village. With due dates only a week and a half apart – and birthdays just a day apart – the sisters shared their entire pregnancies, and are so excited to raise their baby boys together.
Many of us can only dream of that kind of postpartum support: a best friend, right there with us, going through the same experiences at the same time. Plus, lucky Nikki gets the benefit of Brie’s mother experience, seen as she’s already a mother to 3-year-old daughter Bride Joe.
