The Philadelphia Eagles lead the NFC East to their first win of the season, beating the San Francisco 49ers

Carson Ventez hit Travis Fulgham with a 5:50 on a 42-yard touchdown pass to give the Philadelphia Eagles a 25-20 lead over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night for their first win of the season.

With the Eagles (1-2-1) missing their first three receivers and No. 2 Tight & Dallas Goedert, the little-known Fulgam delivered the game of play for Philadelphia.

The Eagles were backed by 42 with 18 and 18 after Jalen Hurtz snatched the shotgun. But Fulgam got past backup cornbuck, Donta Johnson and Wentz gave Philadelphia a full pass for the score to give them an 18-14 lead.

Nick Mulens then threw an interception that Alex Singlett returned a TD on the next drive for 49 ders (2-2), sending him to his second loss in several home games.

Mulens made three turnovers, including a loss to Krien LeBlanc’s strip bag, which Malik Maxx returned to score just ahead.

Mullens went 18 for 26 for 200 yards and had a touchdown before being replaced by CJ Beathard after being given a third chance.

Beathard finally led the TD drive and Ninars got into the Eagles 33 before his frustration in the final zone on the final play was incomplete.

Ninars expects starter Jimmy Garoppolo to return next week from an ankle injury that tied him to the side for two games.

Rookie Brandon iy blocked the way from the UK Mullens to the side’s y 38-yard touchdown, and George Keatle had a career-high 15 catches, including 183 yards and a score to draw Ninars.

Wentz came in with the lowest passing rating of the week and the highest turnover in the NFL. But he ran for an 11-yard TD and scored 193 yards with the first win of the season and a move to move the Eagles to first place in the haphazard NFC East.

Take this away

The Eagles took off for the first defense of the season due to a weak decision by Mullens. With the Niners in the Red Zone, Mullens was calling the ball when he was under pressure and Rodney McLeod came with him. They added two more in the fourth quarter. The only way Philadelphia came into the game was on special teams.

Sloppy play

Ventez threw his NFL-worst seventh interception on the second drive of the Philadelphia game. His pass was obscured by Javan Kinlawa and taken off by Aziz al-Shayar. Each conflict over the past three seasons has been equal to Wentz’s total and is his highest since he had 14 as a rookie in 2016. The last Eagles quarterback with at least seven picks in the first four games was Ron Javarski in 1982.
