Springfield – The number of hospital admissions at Covid-119 in Baystate Health Facilities has remained almost the same this month, but the number of critically ill patients with the disease has risen this week.

Officials are reporting on Sunday that 13 people who tested positive for the disease are being treated at Bestet’s hospitals, in addition to the 11 who were admitted weeks ago for Covid-19. Six of those patients are being treated for serious treatment this week, while two were seriously ill last week.

In early April, 179 patients were treated at Bestet health facilities. Since then the numbers have been steadily declining. A record surface of 10 patients with COVD-19 was recorded two weeks ago, officials said.

All 13 patients are currently being treated at Bestet Medical Center in Springfield. The company also operates Bestate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Bestate Noble in Westfield and Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.
