The week-long sales event offers great savings on coveted items in all categories, from fancy beauty products and designer shoes to home decor. For some, it is a great opportunity to provide luxurious versions of everyday things like underwear or shampoo. For others, it’s a chance to drag in-season designer pieces that would otherwise not show up on sales shelves for a month.
The best items and most desired brands tend to sell out quickly, with multiple items already gone before the general access period already began. But new items are added to the sale daily, including “daily deals” at a steeper discount (usually 50% off) that drops every morning at 9:30 a.m. ET / 6:30 a.m. PT.

How does the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale work?
A mix of Nordstrom drivers and new, current seasonal products will be discounted from 4 to 30 August. When the sale ends on August 31st, prices will return to normal and selected items may be resold. Nordstrom loses early access to tickets as a special benefit based on its membership for the first two weeks of the sale. This means that the largest issuers buy the sale with less risk of certain items selling out.
How often is the Nordstrom Jubilee Sale?
The Nordstrom Jubilee sale happens once a year, normally in July, but this year it happens in August.

How do I get early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
For next year, you can apply for a Nordstrom credit card. All card members enjoy “Insider” status and this year all card members had early August 13 access to the sale. While there is no guarantee that you will be approved, representatives of Nordstrom have shared that most consumers will hear back the same day about approval.
There are three cards offered by Nordstrom, all together with Visa and issued by TD Bank: the Nordstrom Retail Visa Card, the Nordstrom Visa Signature and the Nordstrom Visa Platinum. The cards come with different levels of perks and benefits and approval is based on credit value. If you are approved for a map, you can start it right away with the Nordstrom app.

What credit score do you need for a Nordstrom card?
While Nordstrom representatives could not share a specific number, it has been reported elsewhere that you at least honestly need to be approved for a Nordstrom store card. This is typical means a score of 640 or higher.
What are the Nordstrom Sale tiers for early entry?
Early access is a special benefit reserved for Nordstrom credit card holders. Status statements are based on annual spend starting at $ 500, though all cardholders automatically start at “Insider” status. Keep in mind that although you can reach the same status as a Club Nordy member without a Nordstrom credit card, for early access to the sale, you must be a ticket member.

Yes! Nordstrom has a notoriously great return policy, and since all items listed in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are new for Fall 2020, they will be eligible for return.

According to representatives of Nordstrom, it depends on the product: “The anniversary sale includes new product along with some of our most popular items of great value,” a PR reporter told us by email. “Our buyers work to anticipate what customers are holding, but sometimes certain products are more popular and difficult to predict, so they sell out completely.”
