The NHL announces the start of Game 5 of the Capitals Islanders first-round pick


Game Five of the first round of the Washington Capitals against the New York Islanders will be played at 8 PM on Thursday. The game will be broadcast locally on NBC Sports Washington.

The Capitals prevented a sweep in Game Four, winning 3-2. They are looking to become the fifth team in NHL history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit.

ARLINGTON, Va. The National Hockey League announced today that the start time for Game 5 of the First Round Series between the New York Islanders and the Washington Capitals is set for 8 pm ET on Thursday, August 20th. The game will be televised on NBC Sports Washington locally and streamed live on the MyTeams app and NBCSportsWashington.com. Broadcast information for games 6 and 7, if required, will be announced at a later date.

All Capitals playoff games will be broadcast on 106.7 The Fan (if not in conflict with Washington Basals baseball) and on 94.7 FM The Drive, and on the 24-hour radio channel, Caps Radio 24/7, specifically dedicated to the Capitals.
