Over the course of the past few years, The new mutants has claimed several different release dates. The first teaser trailer debuted more than three years ago. The film was initially scheduled for April 2018 before Fox pushed it forward to February of the following year. Then it was August 2019. When Disney bought Fox, he finally moved The new mutants to its apparently permanent release date of April 3 of this year. The coronavirus pandemic changed that, forcing New mutants to move once more.

Currently, the film will be marketed for release on August 28.

The new mutants is the last of the Fox-produced X-Men movies to be released, after the lackluster 2019 Dark fenix And what many suspect will be a complete reboot as the mutant characters are integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Disney’s purchase of Fox means the X-Men characters can now be used legally in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and there’s a good chance those characters will be re-released upon entering the franchise.
