Nintendo is expected to increase production of the Switch again, a new Bloomberg report said, adding that the company is asking its partners to produce as many as 30 million consoles this fiscal year. Nintendo’s official forecast is Rs 19 million for shipments, while Bloomberg has raised production targets to 22 22 million, 25 25 million and now 30 million for the full year.
The switch is still difficult to find in some markets, including Nintendo’s home country of Japan, as the coronavirus epidemic has boosted demand. With people staying at home, some of Nintendo’s titles such as Workout RPG Ring Fit Adventure And Ascarist Island Fantasy Animal Crossing: New Horizons Consistently sold in large numbers.
Nintendo will be able to maintain the pace of switch sales with the new model rumored to be released next year. A Bloomberg report said today that Nintendo has asked “many outside game developers” to prepare their titles for the 4K upgrade.
