Five states have increased the eligibility of coronavirus vaccines for anyone aged 16 and over, and plan to open at least 22 more people aged 16 and over by the end of April.
Alaska Vaccination opened on March 9 to anyone 16 and older, Mississippi March 16, West Virginia Extended to 22 March, and Utah And definitely state-run sites Arizona Counties open March 24. People 16 years and older Oklahoma Chikasa can be vaccinated through the nation’s vaccination program, but not yet by the state program.
By Wednesday Louisiana, Iowa And And Washington Washington Fresh states are announcing plans to increase the eligibility of coronavirus vaccines for anyone aged 16 and over, announcing on Wednesday that they will expand vaccinations in late March, early April and early May.
For all states currently vaccinating anyone aged 16 and over, people ages 16 or 17 may receive only one Pfizer vaccine, as this is the only option for use in that population yet. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are authorized for use in adults 18 and older.
