What the director and lead actor have said about the film.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Chung spoke about his inspiration for the film. The director used his childhood events as the basis of the film.

He said, ‘I wanted to shape the story of how this family wouldn’t make it, wouldn’t survive, would have different pockets.’ “It simply came to our notice then. Every family member has a shot of turn, growth and maturity. It wasn’t the traditional story of one hero but more: How can I make the whole family a hero? “

Une talked about how this was a different immigrant story than what was seen on-screen. This fact led him to the project.

“Sometimes it becomes an identity[s] The difference between how to reach out to others or how we view Americans, the actor said, “I’ve read a lot of scripts about immigrant families. Most of the time, they are revelatory or they provide an audience that isn’t even their own. When he does that, he loses his integrity and romanticizes in some ways, idealizing in other ways. When I read the script, I was like this: These humans are told with this sternness. “

Minaret Will be released soon by A24. No exact date is known yet.
