When the map was flooded at the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3, he did it with an interesting proposal. Unlike other seasons, where we are seeing how the map changes to see in which direction the plot is going, with this we really know what will happen. The map is currently at its maximum flood, with only floating structures and the highest points looming above the water. As the season progresses, the water will recede, revealing something that looks much more like the map in Chapter 2, Season 2, but with a few changes. Thanks to data mining, we can now see the extent of those changes.
The first major change in water level occurred this week, a relatively minor adjustment that leaves some areas with a little more soil, it seems to reveal the roofs of a few more houses on earth. We’ll see :
For the most part, this is the old re-revealed map, with Shadow taking up residence in the center in the form of The Authority. The big change, obviously, is “The Ruins” in the northwest corner, around where we used to have the plane crash and a small archipelago.
It seems that The Ruins is a kind of Atlantean area, revealed by the retreating seas and most likely connected in some way to Aquaman, who is hanging out on the battle pass menu in the same way that Deadpool was the season. pass. I’m excited to see them: The map in Chapter 1 had all kinds of different aesthetic elements at the end, like the Gothic Ice Castle or the Temple of the Sun in the Jungle. Chapter 2 was much more limited at first, but it seems like we might have a chance to slowly develop its rarity in the same way. We will see how long it takes to discover these things.
