The Last of Us Part 2: ‘No Plans’ for DLC

The Last of Us Part 2 director Neil Druckmann has made it clear that “there are no plans” for the DLC after the game’s release. Speaking during a spoilercast of the game on Kinda Funny Gamescast, Druckmann was asked if the new game would follow the original protagonist with a DLC from the Left Behind story.

“No, with Last of Us I think we had a season pass or something that said ahead of time that we have a history DLC, no, there are no plans for that.”This doesn’t rule out a multiplayer version of the game, like The Factions mode of The Last of Us, as we’ve previously heard that it will launch as a standalone game of some sort.

The wording of the original announcement, which stated “when and where it will take place has yet to be determined”, could suggest that the mode will hit PS5.

We gave The Last of Us Part 2 a full 10/10 review, and called it “a masterpiece worthy of its predecessor.” If you’ve recently finished the game, both Podcast Beyond! and the IGN UK Podcast have recorded full spoilers for their feelings on the game.
