The International Music Summit announces panelists for the IMS Business Report Livestream


The annual report of the dance industry will be presented tomorrow (July 15) through a live broadcast presented in conjunction with Billboard Dance.

The International Music Summit (IMS) has announced dance music industry experts who will participate in a panel discussion following the presentation of the IMS Annual Business Report on Thursday.

Broadcasting live at 12pm EST, the event will kick off with a presentation of this year’s report by the London-based analyst Kevin Watson.

Immediately thereafter there will be a round table discussion with the president and founder of Ultra Records, Ultra Music and Ultra International Music Publishing. Patrick Moxey; global musical agent at Creative Artists Agency Maria May, BBC Radio 1 broadcaster Jaguar, Daouda Leonard, the CEO of Createsafe, a multiverse development and virtual management company; and president of the Ministry of Sound Recordings Dipesh Parmer. The panel will be moderated by Billboard dance director Katie Bain.

The report will include findings on artist revenue, festival and club cancellations, growing markets, DSP, the impact of streaming and associated revenue, and how electronic music competes against genres like hip-hop. The 2020 edition will also explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and how the electronic music industry has reacted to this unprecedented moment.
