The Infinite Gods destroyed a piano to make some in-game sounds

My great uncle used to say, “To make art, sometimes you have to destroy the old, unwanted straight piano.” He was a strange man.

In the latest Inside Infinity blog, Indust Indust3 industries shared a bunch of details and information on how they will make voices in the near future. Halo Infinity. There are surprisingly large amounts of talk-in-depth tech talk and figures Found in the post, If that’s your kind thing. But what I want to focus on is that to help create powerful, loud sounds for the game, 343 opened the piano.

Thankfully, they also recorded and uploaded it to YouTube.

Oh yeah, I really meant it fucked.

Just a few taps from a hammer or a few rough shakes. They destroyed the thing, escaped it with bricks, bats and even cut its wires. Eventually, they started swinging dry ice on it and the results are some real creepy and alien sounds. At one point someone put a block of dry ice on it and took a hard step, which made a strange noise, which had a purposeful effect. But he also felt that someone wanted to torture the piano and that day he became lucky.

According to the blog postT, this piano was donated by a friend of lead sound designer Kyle Fraser. The friend was no longer wanted and Fraser used it to collect a bunch of different sounds and b dio bits.

I also think that some of the people out there want to beat the piano mud with baseball bats. And who can blame them? Sounds fun.
