The Giants’ offensive line strategy started the best Rushing Day

At one point in the first quarter of Sunday’s 23-20 victory over Washington in the FedX field, the Giants had three games in the game on their offensive line by design.

Andrew Thomas, as always, started from the left. Shane Lamiax started with a left guard for the second week in a row, replacing Will Hernandez, who was on the reserve / cove-19 list. Matt Piert, the third-round pick, came to replace Cam Fleming, who has been using the giants for the past few weeks.

At halftime the Giants had 109 rushing yards, approved by Hernandez, who tweeted, “Hell ye boys.”

At one point in the second quarter, the less-used Chad Slade came into the game, replacing Lamiax on the left guard. In the fourth quarter, Thomas was seated on the bench and Piert was on the left, in place of one (third round) instead of the other (first round).

“Face-wise, we’re really three for two at the venue,” said the head coach, Judge Judge. We will try to get everyone to play in the game every week, make sure we stay fresh, give everyone an experience. “

Final total: 35 quick attempts for 166 yards, high both seasons.

“They’ve done a great job over the last few weeks,” said quarterback Daniel Jones. [Offensive line] Coach [Marc] Colombo has ‘those people going there and moving around and keeping them fresh’. We ran effectively all day. That was a big advantage for us. Those guys did a great job against a really good defensive front that had the ability to really impact the game and change the game. ”

The last five games of the Giants (two wins, three losses) were decided by a total of 10 points. ઇ TE Kad Dan Smith was ruled out of the game with an interception in the fourth quarter. Smith was a big factor in blocking the run before leaving the field.

Rookie WR Austin Stein M, K, left-home PV Golden Tate, grabbed four passes for 726 yards, including a free break for y0-yard completion in the first quarter, setting a field goal.

“Austin Stein did a great job and did a lot of plays for us,” Jones said. “He’s someone you can trust. He’s in the right place.

Jones can be heard chanting “Ally, Ally, Ally” as he changes a play on the line of Sprimage, a check that pays tribute to retired Ally Manning. Jones laughed when asked about this and said that Manning has yet to reach out to him about this.

“Maybe I’ll hear from him now,” Jones said.
