Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds Pro looks like they’ll eventually become the company’s rightful competitor to Apple’s excellent AirPods Pro. Now, thanks to an early leak in Samsung’s own app, we take a look at the Galaxy Buds Pro and their features, including a new feature like Apple’s “Special Audio Dio”.
Spotted in the Galaxy Store ahead of schedule, the Galaxy Vea Rebel app used by Samsung to control its various smartwatches and earbuds is a new update that shows the Galaxy Buds Pro and what they are capable of.
Like the Galaxy Buds, +, and Live, Samsung has customizable touch controls, the ability to read loud instructions, the “Find My Earbuds” option, and many more features, along with many presets available in the app. There’s also a section for noise cancellation, though it’s a bit different from what we saw on Galaxy Buds Live. Instead of a simple tuggle, there are, turn off and “Ambient Sound” options, which later give the sound out through microphones.
What’s new for Buds Pro? Three key features. First, there is a “Voice Is Check” feature. It detects when you are speaking and reduces the amount of media when you turn on audio audio pastro so you can have a brief conversation without removing the earbuds or pausing your music. Samsung is also adding left / right sound balancing feature for people with certain hearing problems.
Perhaps most notably, however, is a copy of Apple’s “Special Audio Dio” feature for the Galaxy Buds Pro. The feature, which is available on AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, can create a Fox surround sound system that can change the direction of the audio Dio depending on the direction of your head and the position of the phone. It’s a neat idea, but it comes with a big requirement. When the Galaxy Buds Pro is connected to a Samsung phone on Android 11, Samsung will only enable this “Special Audio Dio” competitor to work.
Listen to the vivid, drowning sound coming from all directions so that when you watch the videos you feel like you are in this scene.
The app also leaked three renders of Buds Pro, all pictured below. Samsung is expected to launch Buds Pro in January with its Galaxy S21 series of smartphones. So far, no pricing information has come out yet, but this is likely to reach Samsung’s line-up. Buds + usually sells for around $ 149 while Buds Live sits at 9 169. That’s because Buds Pro will be asking for $ 200, but there’s nothing to back it up yet.
